| This commission is another example of a customer that
knew just what he wanted, (well, actually just what his wife wanted).
He sent me the dimensions to the 1/16th of an inch.
. . This is a very large pentacle, the "front", (left image), is blackened and textured then the pentacle was filed so that it stood out. The right image, (the "back"), was not darkened but the pentacle was engraved and then buffed to make it show a little more. Originally it wasn't going to be two sided and we didn't talk much about finish. I didn't like how thin the piece was at the end so I soldered another disc onto the "back". I liked how the pentacle center moon stood out then so I asked the customer if he wanted me to make a pentacle on that side so his wife would have 2 finishing options, depending on her moon. He said to do it and we both were pleased with the results; |
